Kali Temple at Hindu crematorium in Mathurapur desecrated, plundered

Fears of communal disorder looming

On January 27, 2014, in the dead of night, Kali temple situated at the Hindu crematorium in the village of Ranaghata in Lalpur area, within the jurisdiction of police station of Mathurapur in the district of 24 Paraganas (South), was desecrated and pillaged by a group of crooks. It has come to knowledge, Jaladhar Pramanik, an aged individual, lives in a hut alongside the crematorium and on the fateful night, he was attacked by the group of criminals before anything else. Even if he was thrashed mercilessly, Jaladhar managed to inform others in the village of the dreadful episode. When a group of people came to the temple, it had already been defiled and ransacked.

The enraged mob (joined by many gradually) went on in the hunt for criminals and soon they got hold of Lekman Mollah, son-in-law of Morshet Khan inhabiting the same village, who was identified as a member of the gang by Jaladhar Pramanik also. Lekman was delivered to the local police station who assured Hindus to deal with the situation firmly. Contrary to expectations, on January 29, Lekman returned to his father-in-law’s residence but instead of expressing penitence, he asked Muslim youths aggressively to help him to teach Hindus (liable to deliver him to police) a lesson. The belligerent mob came to the crematorium, warned Hindus and went away chanting anti-Hindu slogans. Terrified Hindus rushed to local political leaders seeking help. Albeit leaders pledged them to convey this incident to the local administration and also to step up safety in the village, nothing has been done yet.

It has been learnt, even if affable police officials in local police station asked Hindus to name the culprits along with Lekman Mollah, they haven’t been able to do due to extreme fright.

Sturdiness saves girl student from molestation in Mandirbazar

On January 29, 2014, at 2,30 pm, Jagadish Higher Secondary School in the village of Jagadishpur, within the jurisdiction of the police station of Mandirbazar in the district of South 24 Paraganas, remained witness to any uncanny development or clashes between two groups of students following attempts to taunt a girl student from a nearby school. It has been learnt, Rani Guchait (name changed), student of Class X at Saradasuri Girls’ School within the same police station’s jurisdiction, went to Jagadish Higher Secondary School to participate in sports.

While sports were going on, she was targeted by two youths namely Manirul Islam (name changed and student of Class XII at Jagadish Higher Secondary School) and his friend Javed (name changed and nonstudent) who went on hurling slangs at her. They also tried to hassle her. Even if there were others also, none dared to protest as Manirul is known as a rowdy in the area. But Monotosh Mandal (name changed and student of Class XII at Jagadish Higher Secondary School) and his friend Biplab Majhi (name changed and also student at Jagadish Higher Secondary School) came forward, tried to dissuade both Manirul and Javed from behaving nastily. The verbal confrontation changed into a wild combats soon and finally Monotosh and Biplab overpowered Manirul along with Javed. Both of them had no option save for retreat but Manirul was found to warn both Biplab and Monotosh of dire consequences.

Hindus in Kaliachak, Malda deflect bids to stop Surya Puja

On January 19, 2014, Nayagram Field within the jurisdiction of the police station of Kaliachak in the district of Malda, remained witness to an untoward development as Surya Puja (worship of Sun God) and the fair, organized by Hindus in the neighborhood as part of the veneration, there were dismantled by a large group of rowdy Muslim youths. The Puja as well as the fair has been going on for 40 years at a stretch. The problem started at 4 pm when the said pack of roughnecks living in Khottapara in nearby Baishnabnagar interrupted and harassed Hindu girls sleazily. It has also been learnt, at 4pm, while food-offering to the Holy Deity was being distributed among Hindu devotees, pebbles were hurled by the gang led by Rahul Sheikh, Sentarul Sheikh, Zakir Sheikh and Pintu Sheikh. Their sole intention was to stop the Puja, fair and also infuse fright among Hindus so that they would not dare to persist the Hindu ritual any longer.

Local Hindu youths with members of the fair’s organizing committee organized a stiff resistance to the vandalism resulting in a wild confrontation between the two groups. Four youths including Jayanta Rabidas, Toton Ghosh, Biplab Mandal and Chandan Ghosh suffered heavy injuries.

Hindu Samhati drudges in villages, knaves bent to exploit

Hindu Samhati, at the moment, is working in more than 500 villages across several districts in West Bengal and thanks to its own vigor, the organization has become a household name in the districts of 24 Paraganas (North and South), Howrah, Hooghly, Bardhaman, Nadia, Birbhum. But all these bring out a pertinent subject again and it’s regarding the primary job of Hindu Samhati. Hindu Samhati, through years of struggle, has become a vanguard of Hindu defence in Bengal and this can be ascertained from a single fact – Hindu Samhati gives Hindu morale a fillip to strike back Jihadi attacks wherever it happens. It’s a cruel fact that no option except united resistance is in hand or else the tragic episode of partition in 1947 despoiling Hindus overnight would be repeated yet again. With the partition the greater half of pre-1947 Bengal went to the Islamic state of Pakistan (now Bangladesh). But there is no respite as sinister developments (perceived in 1946-47) are resurfacing in West Bengal and if lessons from history are not learnt, we will be doomed to repeat it.  West Bengal was created as a refuge for persecuted Hindus from East Bengal. Alas, there is no such place now. If Bengali Hindus conceive of entering the states of Orissa, Bihar or Uttar Pradesh, they will have to count on generosity of people there only and by degrees they will lose their uniqueness. Thus, the saga of religious impeccability, culture and also cultivation of intellect of Bengali Hindus will become a history and the land known for its perseverance and cultivation of Vedic Dharma from time immemorial will kick the bucket. Hindu Samhati desires to reveal this truth (however cruel it is) to all. And through this it hopes all to comprehend a single fact – there is no way excluding struggle to salvage Hindus.

New spate of attacks to construct illegal mosque in Kolkata Leather Complex

The village of Gangapur within the jurisdiction of KLC Police Station in Bhangor no. 1 Block in the District of 24 Paraganas (South) experienced a fresh onrush on January 23, 2014. Local Hindus were assailed once more by a large group of Muslims with lethal weapons and hell bent to construct a mosque illegally within the area. What makes the confrontation deadliest is the presence of an ancient Hindu temple and it is at a distance of 20 feet away from the disputed site. The temple is venerated by Hindus in the neighborhood highly and the main objective behind recurrent attacks is to oust Hindus from the area and the bid to construct the illegal mosque is the first step, as per locals. However, this is not new; Hindus had premonitions and therefore, to ward off any sinister development, they had submitted a mass petition signed by almost 1100 villagers to the District Magistrate. But the administration remained lackluster as usual and exploiting it, Muslim youths attempted still.

It is worth mentioning, the village had witnessed similar onslaught on December 24, 2013 and it was also on the same issue. Even if the trouble died down due to persistence of Hindus then, it has surfaced yet again. Nevertheless, to create amity, local police had organized a meeting at the KLC Police Station on January 9. But it failed to have any solution and hence, another meeting for resolution was convened on January 24. And the dreadful attack took place on the day before it.

Hindu Samhati inspires Hindus at Jiban Mandaler Hat, Joynagar to Struggle and Triumph

On January 19, 2014, as a part of its programs to commemorate 150 th birth anniversary of Swami Vivekananda, Hindu Samhati organized a public meeting at the Hindu Samhati Maidan at Jiban Mandaler Hat within the block of Joynagar in the district of South 24 Parganas. The meeting was joined by people in strength and with great enthusiasm. The public meeting was embellished by the presence and speeches of Tapan Ghosh (president, Hindu Samhati), Bikarna Naskar, Sourav Sasmal, Santanu Basak, Sanjay Sardar and others.

While several speakers, citing many ominous episodes, cautioned Hindus of the imminent danger and also accentuated the need of Hindu unity, Bikarna Naskar commenced his speech through the portrayal of brutality against Hindus in the state. The depiction of Hindu persecution at Naliakhali in Canning on February 19, 2013 shocked the gathering. He also went on describing harrowing incidents of bashing Hindus and how this precarious strategy has been expanding its sinister tentacles across the state. Bikarna Naskar also recounted the tragic incident of Krishna Banik in Kaltala nearby and how this innocent Hindu girl was outraged by minority students before her husband. But police declined to recognize this outrageous incident fearing political pressure. The excruciating incident of attacking Hindus at Sandeshkhali and Sarberia while returning from Kolkata on August 16, 2013 and the role of vicious kingpins including Shahjahan Sheikh and Shahjahan Gazi in this context were also found in his scathing speech. On the word of him, due to wild assaults 23 houses of Hindus were burnt down while Sulata Ghosh, a Hindu housewife in the village, was literally molested by a group of attackers (Muslim by religion) and was left with one garment only. Tapas Naskar, an impeccant Hindu youth in the locality, was shot leading to a reign of terror. He also mentioned the spate in religious violence against Hindus of late and the wave of onslaughts at Panchla in Howrah due to celebration of Viswa Navi Divas or World Navi Day on January 14, 2014. Terming the madrasa education as the gravest source behind mounting Jihadi terrorism in the globe, he asked Muslims to send their wards to government’s schools for a better education and life.

Bikarna Naskar also censured the euphoria of Hindu-Muslim harmony severely and dubbed it as a fantastic ploy to hoodwink Hindus altogether. In his support, he cited several references of Dr. Zakir Naik, well-known Muslim theologian and televangelist, where the Islamic pundit had stated clearly of the supremacy of Islam worldwide and thus negated any equality between Hinduism and Islam. He ended his speech by inviting all to the upcoming annual anniversary of Hindu Samhati on February 14 in Kolkata.

Tapan Ghosh initiated his speech by describing briefly Practical Vedanta as contrived by Swami Vivekananda and also how the same has been defiled through the saga of social service. He explained that social service had never been the ideal of Swami. It had been commenced by Swami Akhandananda at Sargachi, the first branch center of Ramakrishna Mission, in the district of Murshidabad. The initiative earned high appreciation of his fellow disciple Swami Vivekananda but he never participated in any such activity. The principal mantra in his life was Advaita Vedanta but his plans for India were different. This view manifested best during his short visit to Dhaka in 1901. A few Bengali Hindu youths visited him and his spine-tingling influence helped them to initiate a new chapter in Indian history – revolutionary movement in Bengal through two premier organizations, Anushilan Samiti and Jugantar. These two epochal groups rocked the foundation of British Empire. Revolutionaries used to keep Srimad Bhagavad Gita and Swadesh Chinta by Swami Vivekananda simultaneously. All these prove that Swamiji’s thrust was the gospel of sacrifice and not social service.  But glaring sacrifices of revolutionaries couldn’t preclude the ill-fated partition that happened to gratify demands of Muslims despite remaining absent in the national freedom movement. In pre-1947 Bengal, Muslims comprised 54% of the population while Hindus formed the remaining 46% but none can distinguish names of 5 Muslim revolutionaries even. But there is no end to demands of reservations for Muslims these days; albeit there have been many already, new demands are in full action. Muslims enjoy 100% reservations in neighboring Bangladesh but their lust for more never ends and hence, Bengal is the target.

Criminating nefarious roles of secular leaders who fled Bangladesh (then East Pakistan) for lives including Jyoti Basu, Sibdas Ghosh and Mamata Banerjee, Tapan Ghosh explicated the mounting peril for Hindus and in this context, he cited the Hindu persecution at nearby Dhaki Bazar in Kultali where almost 70 shops of Hindus were captured by Muslim fanatics on January 1, 2014. Bengal government had announced Rs. 2 lakh as compensation for each Muslim individual who died in hooch tragedy in 2011 but in this case it remained secretive. he also noted the difference between madrasas, mosques and temples. While the former institutions remain proactive always and leave no stone unturned to exploit any issue for own advantage, Hindu institutions, under the auspices of fake Vaishnavas, remain despicable. According to him, these Vaishnavas are the greatest curse to Hindu Dharma; their iniquity mislead Hindus or else Lord Krishna, known for extinguishing his opponents including Kansa, Shisuhpala, would not have been worshipped as an embodiment of peace and tranquility only. In this way, they are disrespecting ideals of Sri Sri Chaitanya Mahaprabhu or emblem of Hindu aspirations to wrest freedom from Islamic clutches as well.

He reminded Hindus the necessity to struggle or they would become refugees once more and there is no free terrain for them. Tapan Ghosh ended the speech by inviting Hindus to the forthcoming rally of Hindu Samhati on February 14 in Kolkata.

Gulzar Zia, violent mob ransack Chittaranjan National Medical College in Kolkata

Traffic was thrown out of gear while law and order was shattered and police remained utterly confused, even perceived to back out – all these features resulting from a wild rampage, led by Gulzar Zia, Trinamool Councilor of Ward No. 60 under Kolkata Municipal Corporation, and his son Sabbar Alam, ruled Chittaranjan National Medical College in Kolkata on January 18 for hours. It has been learnt, Pervez Alam, inhabitant of Jannagar area in Beniapukur and also suffering from diabetes, has been undergoing medical treatment in the hospital for weeks. He was also operated recently. On Saturday, Yasmin Begum and Hena Parvin, his wife and daughter respectively, turned up in the hospital to render the midday meal. However, the scheduled time for visitors in the hospital is between 9 am and 11 am. Both of them entered after 11 am; private security guard asked them to go out and all these led to a scuffle. What followed next were wild allegations – while Yasmin and Hena held staff in the hospital as culpable, security guard and staff blamed both women for the trouble. According to police, problem started when Yasmin and Hena tried to enter without accredited visiting cards.

Within a few minutes, a large mob from the neighborhood and led by Gulzar Zia, Sabbar Alam went on a rampage and also ransacked the hospital. A police outpost was also plundered by the violent mob. It is alleged, some troublers even attempted to molest policewomen.  Police also struck back and took four offenders into custody. But they were freed on bail soon due to pressure of Gulzar Zia and his followers.
Relatives and neighbors of Pervez Alam blocked CIT Road for hours as a mark of protest. The blockade was lifted once protestors were assured of justice.

Even if Sabbar Alam and his confederate Ershad were arrested on January 19 in the morning, Gulzar Zia is on the run.

Endeavor to turn Debuttar Property in Jamalpur, Bardhaman to Islamic Cemetery scores high

It has been learnt from sources, a few days back the village of Bishnubati, within the jurisdiction of police station of Jamalpur under Jamalpur block, in the district of Bardhaman remained witness to grievous attempts to encroach Joy Maa Chandi Debuttar Property within it. Trouble started when a group of people (Muslim by religion), under the aegis of local Hindu political leaders, entered the village and attempted to entomb a dead body. The village is infested with underprivileged Hindus but despite hindrances, all including tribal Hindus tried to fend off the event. It has been found, tribal Hindu girls ran to local police personnel seeking their support. But the administration remained indifferent and Hindus were thrashed brutally to nip any such protest in the bud. Hence, the pious intention to turn the Debuttar Property to an Islamic graveyard completed with a great success. Tight vigil is maintained in village at the moment.

In accordance with Indian Law, any property absolutely dedicated to Hindu religious or charitable purpose is called Debuttar Property. Debuttar means literally belonging to a deity. Where the dedication is absolute and complete, the possession and management of the property belongs, in the case of a Deosthana or temple, to the manager of the temple, called Shebait but the property vests in the idol; and in case of math that is an abode for students of religion, to the head of the math called Mahant.

As a general rule, the property given to religious worship and charities connected with it is inalienable.

Sankrail witnesses savagery on Viswa Nabi Divas

Villages within Panchla were not sole victims of murderous assaults on “Viswa Nabi Divas” or World Nabi Day; the spate of brutality surfaced in Sankrail (situated at a distance of almost 16 kilometers from Panchla) in the same district of Howrah also. On January 14, at 9 am, Dakshin Sankrail Bodobagan within the jurisdiction of Sankrail police station experienced this viciousness. Large numbers of processions comprising thousands of youths, sound boxes emitting music in high frequency to observe “Viswa Nabi Divas” passed the area. Taken back at lewd comments being hurled on them from processions increasingly, women in the area asked village police volunteers to request Muslim youths to change route. But vanguards in processions dismissed it almost instantly. Getting helpless, local police station was phoned and when the police force appeared, Hindus requested them to ask Muslims of permissions to form processions. It has been learnt, even if Officer-in-Charge of Sankrail police station reiterated it, he was said that there was no need of it. Leaders of processions said that such processions had been continuing for past eight years at a stretch and all these led to a verbal spat between police and processionists for more than an hour.

While the tiff was going on, pebbles thrown from convoys injured Circle Inspector of Sankrail police station badly. To restrain the fast worsening situation, Rapid Action Force was called in and was also asked to vacate the area soon. Even if the job was done successfully, Hindus had to bear the aftermath. Instead of arresting troublemakers, police was found to hunt for Hindu youths and also ransack houses of Hindus in the area. Albeit being innocent, Madhab Bag and Raejndranath Thunder were falsely incriminated. They were arrested under sections 147/148/149/187/298/333/353/295 of Indian Penal Code. Both of them, at the moment, are languishing in jail at Mallikfatak. Nevertheless, police raids to terrify local Hindus are unabated.

Hindus in Panchla reel under terror

The whole of Panchla, at the moment, is staggering under a fear of death. The expression may appear to be impolite to many readers but the cruel truth can neither be avoided nor be concocted. The visit of a team of Hindu Samhati to the worst-hit areas today itself has brought such heartrending and horrific accounts out.  The earlier report was based on firsthand information while assaults on Hindus were in full swing but now the details reveal a greater horror. Contrary to beliefs that murderous assaults were limited to a handful of villages, it’s now evident that lots of areas populated by Hindus were attacked by the lethal mob simultaneously and they include the village of Biki Hakola including wards like Raypara, Kolepara, Pachhalpara, Choto Gabberia, Beltala, Daspara, Hazrapara and Gabberia Kacharigora. And all these encompass an area of 10 sq.km. Everything happened as part of grievous and premeditated strategies and hence, the brutal mob was well prepared from the very beginning to unleash the worst form of terror. The mob was armed with all kinds of lethal weapons ranging from daggers to bombs along with large numbers of bricks.

The procession celebrating “Viswa Nabi Divas” or International Nabi Day went through villages inhabited by Hindus most and once a Hindu lady objected to the high pitch sound emanating from sound boxes used in the pageant and asked organizers to lessen the volume, assaults were let loose. While tens of hundreds of bricks were thrown to residences of Hindus, let alone hurling bombs, members in crowds ransacked same houses as well. Assaults went on rising before local police force but it preferred to remain silent and this unconcern instigated felons to wreak havoc. Albeit Hindus asked police to implement apposite measures to clam the situation down, the force tracked maimed Hindus only and arrested Kalipada Sahu only after foraying his house and breaking its main door.

The vicious mob desecrated and also burnt Harisabha (Hari temple) at Biki Hakola Kolepara down. While a Kali temple at Raypara became an easy prey to plunders and arsons, the Hanuman temple at Kolepara was also despoiled. The following list of victims manifests the horror more.

Victims include:

1)   Residence of Shibnath Ray who happens to be a professional mason. After ransacking the residence, it was set to fire.
2)  House of Amar Ray – while two cows have been looted, another cow was slaughtered. Even the cistern was also not spared – it was damaged as a result of heavy bombing.
3)      Grill factory of Asit Pachhal and it was ransacked.
4)      Embroidery factory of Ajit Koley was looted.
5)    Attackers did not spare Dr. Raghu Karmakar even – both his private chamber and house were ransacked.
6)      Chicken shop of Subrata Manna was looted.
7)      A shop of selling furniture and owned by Banshi Pachal was pillaged.
8)      Shop of Gora Sahu for selling snacks was looted.
9)      Residence of Bulbul Koley was attacked, bombed resulting in injury of a cow within the house.
    10)      Fields of betel leaves in both Hazrapara and Daspara were destroyed.

The police force in the area left no stone unturned to harass the team of Hindu Samhati but it managed to collect facts and a few photographs.

Muslim procession on Viswa Nabi Divas unleashes terror on Hindus in Panchla, Howrah

As fresh reports are coming to the news desk, Hindus, especially women, have fled from the persecuted villages of Kolepara, Pachalpara, Santrapara and Beltala in particular, within the jurisdiction of the police station of Panchla in the district of Howrah, following an unprecedented attack on Hindus inhabiting the villages today in the noon. It has been learnt, massive procession of Muslims to observe “Viswa Nabi Divas” or World Nabi Day, under the watchful eye of police, was brought out in the noon today itself. The problem started when a Hindu woman Shyamasree Ghosh (name changed) living in Koelpara objected to high pitch sound emanating from sound boxes used in the pageant and asked organizers to lessen it. When she was both challenged and taunted sexually, a few Hindu youths joined the protest leading to a minuscule fight between the two groups. Contrary to the expectation of Hindus, the news of tussle was circulated to other groups of Muslims rapidly and massive violent attacks with use of arms to teach Hindus a lesson were unleashed. The intensity of assault was such that police teams guarding the procession had to flee.

A large number of houses of Hindus have been ransacked by now while at Pollepara within Koelpara, two Hindu temples of Harisabha and Lord Hanuman have been razed to the ground. Along with these, an embroidery factory and a residence, both owned by Hindus, have been burnt down. Hindus sought help of local police and administration to stop the criminals but there was no response. It has been learnt, RAF has been deployed to calm the situation but resurgence of sanity in the area seems to be a doomed prospect.  Reason? The crisis deepened before the presence of Gulshan Mallick (present MLA at Panchla Legislative Constituency and from Trinamool Congress) and Officer-in-Charge of Panchla police station.

Wild claims on land weaken communal harmony in Duttapukur

Hindu-Muslim scuffle over a stretch of land in the village of Duttapukur Chaltaberia within Duttapukur 2 No. Gram Panchayat and under the jurisdiction of Duttapukur police station in the district of 24 Paraganas (North) has become a cause of concern by now and the administration is found to apprehend more ominous developments. It is to be noted, the dispute remains over a 15 cottah land (1 cottah = 720 sq. ft.) in an area (within the village) populated by 300 Hindu families, wretched refugees from Bhola and Barisal districts in Bangladesh.  There are almost 60 Muslim families in the same area but around Chaltaberia Uttarpara located at 500 meter away from the disputed site.

Now, Muslims are asserting that the same 15 cottah of land belongs to them and it’s nothing but an Islamic graveyard. Nevertheless, another burial ground of Muslims is located in the environs, used commonly and contains a mosque as well. But these basic facts failed to bring sanity and on January 13 several Muslims were witnessed to construct a boundary wall around the site infuriating local Hindus. Trouble started on January 14 in the morning owing to resumption of the project under alleged protective cover of 200 Muslim individuals. Hindus protested and as a part of it submitted protest letters to both Duttapakur Police Station and Gram Panchayat Pradhan. But it was rejected almost instantly.

Hindus are in fright at the moment and audaciousness of neighboring Muslims with posture of local administration have dampened their spirit and are wondering whether they would be evicted from this place also. Well, a few Hindu youths have decided to defy this pernicious diktat come what may and go on with struggle.   As per latest reports, today in the morning (January 14), Hindus fought back with might leading to discontinuation of the project. Both communities have been asked to visit the local police station for a truce.

Will police in Malda wake up and stop Love Jihad now?

On January 7, 2014, at 10 am, Ripa Mandal (age 17 years) was abducted by Sakim Shiekh (age 22 years) while she was going to her school. Ripa happens to be the student of Class IX at Mahammadia High Madrasa Bahadurpur and is the daughter of Atul Chandra Mandal living in Sundartala, within the jurisdiction of Post Office: Dulugram and Police Station: Kaliachak in the district of Malda. Sakim, on the other hand, is the son of Khurshed Sheikh inhabiting the village of Salehpur Dariapur within the same police station’s authority.  Even if the police appeared reluctant to deal with the case, a missing diary was filed on January 8. Once the disinclination of police was spotted, Atul started to find her daughter out all-alone and within the next few hours culpability of Sakim Sheikh came forth.

After lots of endeavors, Ripa was found from the residence of Sakim on January 11. Atul Chandra Mandal went to Sakim’s residence alone but Ripa was not given to him. Instead, she was transferred to Nabiul Sheikh, an infamous criminal in the locality, and he brought Ripa to her residence. It has been learnt, Sakim married Ripa meanwhile and now Sakim’s family is asking Atul Mandal to recognize the marriage. The cudgel of responsibility to have Atul’s consent is on Nabiul Sheikh and he has been warning local Hindus with dire consequences if they dare to stir up public opinion. Tension prevails the area while local police remains apathetic to the reality.  Locals murmur that this Love Jihad has become a bane to teenage girls.

Hindu Samhati commemorates Swami Vivekananda’s Birth Anniversary in Hasnabad with valor

On January 12, 2014, Hindu Samhati, to commemorate 150 th birth anniversary of Swami Vivekananda, organized a convention at Hasnabad, situated on the bank of River Ichamati and also a prominent town alongside India-Bangladesh international border, in the district of North 24 Paraganas. The convention scheduled at Subhas Mukta Mancha Maidan was attended by locals in large numbers and dignitaries whose presence graced the occasion included Tapan Ghosh (president – Hindu Samhati), Bikarna Naskar, Brajendranath Ray, Sumana Chowdhury, Narayan Chandra Ghosh.

Speaking on the occasion, Sumana Chowdhury, editor of periodical “Tapoban”, censured the present scenario in Bengal remaining a mute spectator to mounting Hindu persecution altogether. She emphasized how incidents of cow-slaughter perturb Hindus and administration remains ever active to inhibit any anger among Hindus in this regard. Even if several luminaries in the town of Hasnabad, according to her, protested against cow-slaughter, vested interests of political parties and also their dream to enjoy a loyal minority vote bank have subdued protests of Hindus and who has failed to comply with this diktat, he has been ostracized.  She asked Hindus to get inspired by the ideals of Swami Vivekananda and come forward to uphold their religious identity.

Narayan Chandra Ghosh, articulating his reverence to Swami Vivekananda, stated that the time has come when chanting “Vande Mataram” has become awful in Bengal and coordinated efforts of secularists to stamp down such nationalist thoughts reign supremely. Citing a few instances including how a Hindu van chanting “Hari Naam” was thrashed by a mob of Muslim youths two-year ago in the environs, he said that Islamic hegemony is rising stupendously but none except Hindu Samhati has the capability and also honest intention to challenge it. Krishnapada Karmakar and Brajendranath Ray also held similar views in their speeches. Mr. Ray stated with conviction whether it is the dreadful episode at Deganga in 2010 or the rape of innocent Shipra Ghosh at Kamduni, Barasat of late, all are part of greater plan to subjugate Hindus.

Bikana Naskar, while designating Hindu Samhati as a non-political organization and epitome of Kshatriya spirit, stated that despite myriad commemorations of Swami Vivekananda or The Cyclonic Monk of India on this day, his ideals had become the greatest casualty. While the revered Swami dedicated his life for ascension of Hindus in each manner, his original ideals have been replaced by a weird notion of secularism. Nowadays the venerated Swami is presented more as an adherent of secularism in India albeit he was proudest as a Hindu. Now the question before Hindus remains one – what to do and how to do. Rendering a meticulous analysis of the brutal reality for Hindus, he succinctly stated how Shahjahan Sheikh in Sandeshkhali in 24 Paraganas (South) district, once a cadre of CPIM but now in Trinamool Congress, has been unleashing a reign of terror on Hindus there. Citing a few horrific examples more, he asked the mob to come up, join Hindu Samhati and be strong Hindu to change the destiny.

Tapan Ghosh (president – Hindu Samhati), while speaking to the crowd, said given that Swami Vivekananda and his life has been explained so diversely it’s no wonder if anyone considers Swami’s greatest emphasis was on health service. But Swami is simply peerless in the world history; he did what remains unthinkable to other Sannyasis – he sowed seeds of revolution in India to oust British Imperialism and all these led to the formation of revolutionary organizations in Bengal – Anushilan Samity and Jugantar and a band of fiery rebels ever-ready to sacrifice them at the altar of motherland. Such was his spirit that Aurobindo Ghosh came all the way from Baroda, became first Principal of Bengal National College that led to the formation of Jadavpur University in following decades. He, along with Sister Nivedita who is regarded as the emblem of Swami Vivekananda’s revolutionary thoughts, strengthened the saga of indigenous study and cause of revolution. The bomb hurled by Khudiram Basu rocked the basis of British rule in India. All these are instances of Swamiji’s influence that originated from his desire to break the shackles of bondage for Hindus yet he is considered as the progenitor of weird secularism in India. This is a rot since the need of religious harmony is felt only in Bengal but not in neighboring Bangladesh where Hindu persecution has been going on for decades.

Mr. Ghosh went on explaining the current situation and explicated absence of bomb blasts in Kolkata while it has become a routine affair in the rest of India and the reason as per him, Kolkata is the best refuge for Islamic terrorists. Apart from citing a few examples of how the saga of Jihad is engrossing a particular minority community against Hindus in West Bengal, he also conferred Taki-Hasnabad as the sanctuary of Islamists in Bangladesh. Islamists from the neighboring country, after conducting acts of terror, come to this area for medical treatment and also to steer clear of Bangladeshi administration. But no opposition leader of contemporary state government censures this indulgence fearing loss of Muslim votes. Speaking on escalating cattle smuggling into Bangladesh, he mentioned the tragic developments in Swarupnagar of late where Hindus were thrashed by criminals from Bangladesh for protesting against this illegal trade.  Almost all districts in Bengal including 24 Paragnas (North and South), Nadia, Hooghly, Howrah, Midnapore are feeling the brunt of Islamic fundamentalism and the murder of Dipankar Ray from Bangoan, who dared to love and marry a Muslim girl, by the bride’s father and his accomplices in broad daylight makes the brutal reality prevailing Bengal most percipient. He concluded his speech by stating that Hindu Samhati is a non-political organization and has been created to institute a new destiny for persecuted Hindus.

It is worthwhile to mention, Mr. Manas Ghosh, editor of Dainik Statesman, in an article penned by him and published in the esteemed daily on January 12, 2014, expresses without qualm that Hasnabad along with Barasat and Basirhat have become hubs for Jamaat cadres and other Muslim terrorists from Bangladesh. Following each act of arson in Bangladesh and to get proper treatment along with shelter, they take refuge in these places and in this case, they are helped by a large network of Muslim refugees from India to Bangladesh hell-bent to avenge their transportation. This network maintains rapport with several representatives of the existing ruling clique in West Bengal.
