Dr. Shyamaprasad Mukherjee’s 111 th birth anniversary commemorated with reverence in Kolkata
Whatever
may be the detractions by pseudo-seculars, there is simply no end to respects
towards Dr. Shyamaprasad Mukherjee and best epitome of the same happens to be his
111 th Birthday Celebration at the Kolkata University Hall on July 6, 2012. The
convention was organized by Dr. Shyamaprasad Mukherjee Smarak Samity and dignitaries
gracing it included Tapan Sikdar, Shahnawaz Hussain, Rahul Sinha (all from
BJP), Bijaya Chakraborty, Jugal Kishore Jaithalia, Chandan Mitra (Editor –
Pioneer), Tapan Ghosh – President, Hindu Samhati.
While
an assortment of speakers showered praises on and cited various instances of
Dr. Shyamaprasad Mukherjee’s life to draw inspirations to better humanity, speech
of Tapan Ghosh of Hindu Samhati stating simple chanting of name of or showing gratitude
to Dr. Shyamaprasad Mukherjee is not sufficient drew huge applauds from the
crowd. He stated that excepting drawing inspirations from life of such a colossus,
lessons of his life must also be studied to strengthen Hindu lots in the realm
of India.
Tapan
Ghosh went on saying that owing to several untoward developments Hindus are
becoming minority in their own lands (Hindu Kashmiris routed out from their own
land and living as mere paupers; three districts and along with 80 blocks in Bengal
have become Hindu minority areas owing to their imprudence and mounting clouts
of Islamists) and this can only be resisted only if activities of Dr. Mukherjee,
playing outstanding roles in educational, national and political scenarios, are
mulled over and abided by precisely.
Bijaya Chakraborty, while addressing the crowd, stated
traumatic experiences of Bengali Hindus in Assam and how they are being singled
out again and again. She gave a clarion call to others to go to Assam and save
Bengali Hindus, living in concentration camps virtually, there from ultimate destruction.
