Hindu Fearlessness through the Ages


One hears it all too often: ‘Hindus are cowards, they only deserve what they are suffering.’Mahatma Gandhi said it clearly enough: ‘The Muslim is a bully, the Hindu a coward.’ But Hindus are by no means cowards. Hindus as such have their problems, but lack of bravery is not one of them.

Then the Shakas, Kushanas and Hunas managed to gain a foothold in India’s Northwest. The Shakas were defeated, the Vikram calendar begins with this victory. These conquering foreigners were not fully expelled, but at least they were absorbed. There is no distinct Shaka, Kushana or Huna  community today, much less do they demand minority privileges.

Remembering Dhantala gang-rape of Hindu women ----10 years Later........

When Hindu persecution is rampant in Bangladesh now, a question haunts whether the Indian state of Bengal is free of all these. Myriad incidents manifested do authenticate that Hindu persecution in this side of the border is on the rise too and at this hour, the Hindu persecution in Dhantala, Nadia in 2003 that rocked the state’s political and social arena then deserve special mention. On February 5, 2003, two buses containing large number of Hindu women and returning from a marriage festival were blocked by Muslim radicals at village: Aismali, Dhantala, District: Nadia. Hindu women were taken to nearby Dhantala Madrasa forcibly and were gang-raped mercilessly by the same perpetrators. The gruesome incident continued for hours while Hindu men and women tried their best to raise alarms.  However, the police station (P.S. Dhantala), close at hand, preferred to remain silent. Hooligans thrash Hindu traders in Raiganj

Cloth traders Palash  Bhattacharjee and Padma Bhattacharjee, residents of Bhatol village, P.S. Raiganj, North Dinajpur district of West Bengal were thrashed by  Aziz Ansari, Kalam Ansari, Chalua Ansari. It has been learnt that Aziz and his associates are land dealings agents and the Bhattacharjee brothers had used their help to buy a land in the village a few years back. They had paid the requisite dealer's fee to the agency and had since transformed the land to a glossy shop. However, on 4th of July, at around   8 pm , Kalam Ansari along with Chalua and Aziz went to the newly made shop of Palash and Padma to have the remaining part of agency fee that they claimed were still due. When Padma Bhattacharjee refused to pay them anymore citing that they did not owe them anymore, a tussle started between the two groups and within a short time, all three of them, backed by a few criminals who were waiting outside the shop for an opportunity, pounced down on the two brothers. ...
