Can West Bengal save itself from turmoil in Bangladesh?
Without doubt,
current developments in the realm of Bangladesh have caught attention of global
community and apprehensions that the impending election in Bangladesh on
January 5, 2014 and violent protests orchestrated by BNP and its Islamic
cohorts to it will lead the country to a novel stalemate are rising. There have
been several developments both to organize the election and to foil it despoiling
human lives, especially Hindus, only. The question remains – where this
beleaguered nation go from here and how far these developments will affect the Indian
state of West Bengal, known to be visited by Hindu refugees from Bangladesh
already.
The situation is
grave and sending wrong signals to this part of the international border too. What
is the best way to save West Bengal? Should it also take a tough stand against
Jamaat, its accomplices and do the needful to fend off intrusions of their
cadres into the Indian mainland? Time is limited and there is the need to act
fast. However, before that it’s essential to contemplate the dangers in
Bangladesh to save West Bengal from the disaster. It’s needless to say that any
disaster in Bangladesh will be pernicious for West
Bengal.
